Simultaneous Thermal Analysis (STA)

Simultaneous Thermal Analysis (STA) generally refers to the simultaneous application of Thermogravimetry (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to one and the same sample in a single instrument.

The STA 409 PC/PG Luxx® is one of the most versatile STA systems for routine use in material research and development as well as in quality assurance.

Simultaneous Thermal Analysis (STA)Evolved gas analysis (EGA) is a method used to study the gas evolved from a heated sample that undergoes decomposition or desorption. It is possible to detect which gas is evolved using evolved gas detection (EGD).

The combination with an FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer) has become popular, especially in the polymer producing, chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

ITA Labs’ UK laboratory is experienced at providing simultaneous thermal analysis test results, with a fast turnaround, at very competitive rates using a STA 409 PC/PG Luxx STA analyser.
